Sun setting
I’m forgetting
Everything and nothing at all.

(3 months spent
running round the world –
Useless attempts to forget you)

Waiting at train stations
(Pretending I’m invisible)

Caught a ferry to the island
Evening air – tease my hair
Half moon reflecting on the water
-shimmering dark exquisite.
(And even this takes me back)
How why –
Does nearly every sight
remind me of
Your damn dark beautiful eyes.
