In the sound of his voice
I was lost and destroyed
Like an ancient civilization
Only to be discovered again
The first time that he said my name.

Sometimes when we meet someone for the first time our connection with them is immediate, intimate, familiar and we feel as if we have met them before somewhere so far outside of our traditional timeline. And when our eyes meet we tend to lose ourselves for a minute in each other, and at the same moment we find a new part of ourselves in that connection. There is much to be discovered in solitude but there are certain aspects of love, depth, life and art that we will never learn until we let someone in all the way and love them and let them love us back.
